More Montreal

I saw a fantastic firework show from the Montreal bridge that cost about $600,000. It was the final show in a month long contest between a bunch of countries. WOW!

The workshop is wonderful. I almost can't how fast you get better when you are playing so much. Go figure!!

Gotta run!!!!

Montreal!

I am here in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It is like Europe, but in, like, North America. It is so much fun here. I mainly play tabla all day. 5 hours today, maybe 6 yesterday, but I do have time to eat, which is nice. Payton MacDonald is here and Pandit Sharda Sahai is here. He is soo amazing. Oh, and I'm learning French.

also, check this out. blows the mind

Whoa! It's been a long time!

WHoops! Sorry about that. Life gets crazy and then you don't update the blog.
The last time I talked was when I was pre-surf trip. Since then, I have caught waves on the East coast for the very first time, rode the nose of an 8 foot long-board, graduated with a master's degree, stayed with PJ Kelly's parents in Evanston and began my venture into the REAL world. Whatever that means. I started a photography business and set goals for my life and it feels great. Now, with all the time that at one point was spent in school for the last twenty years of my life, I can do whatever I want. Shaaaaaa! I'm going to a tabla workshop with Pandit Sharda Sahai which happens to take place in Montreal, Canada starting on Monday. I'm not well versed with my Canadian geopgraphy, of which my experience is constrained to British Columbia and Toronto, so it came to my surprise that my trip there would consist an map-quest-guestimation of 1113.84 miles--an 18 hour and 28 minute duration. I like loco and loco likes me.
